Cartes-de-visites, cabinets cards, tintypes, and several images mounted on board made by Wisconsin and Iowa photographers, circa 1860-1900 collected by the Jackson County Historical Society. The bulk of the images were made by Charles Van Schaick, a photographer in Black River Falls, Wisconsin. Other Wisconsin photographers include Cottrell predecessor to Van Schaick, A.J. Roiseland, J. B Gallaher, G.M. Groh and Brother, Hess and McCoy, F. M. Johnson, F.W. Mould, E.P. Slater, and L. P. Weller. There is an additional image made by Sun Beam Gallery, Dubuque, Iowa. Most of the images are of unidentified people.
